California Customs started very humbly in February of 1997 by Rick Vallis, out of the back of an 86 Blazer. Rick approached the new car dealerships in the surrounding areas and began selling and installing rear deck spoilers, wood grain dash kits, as well as some electronics. Because of the quality of the products, installations, and relationships, business grew quickly.
Within six months Rick brought on a helper to handle the demand. Within the year a gold plating machine was added, and business was good. Over time, requests for additional services were coming in. |

In 1998 leather interiors were added to the line up. Demand for leather was very high, so we brought on additional help.
In 1999 California Customs went from being strictly mobile to opening a shop. Window Tint, Sunroofs, Stereo, Video, Truck Accessories, Lift Kits, and Suspension were all added to the line up shortly after. Naturally more help was brought in to handle the expanding business.

After a few years in that location, Rick noticed the referrals and walk ins were increasing. He decided to move the business to a new location, better suited to retail. |
After approximately 8 years in the new retail location, the business expanded and built a new show room which we are very proud of.

Now after 14 years the company employs 14 people and has a location in Fort Smith as well as a wholesale shop in Springdale. 5 or 6 years ago the Rhino dealership was brought out and added to our lineup as well. Also commercial Truck refitting has become a large part of our business.
California Customs maintains a very aggressive growth strategy, and plans to continue to diversify. California Customs would like to thank all of our loyal customers for 14 great years, and we are looking forward to a very bright future. |
